Background

Aegis Restauro, LLC is a full-service conservation firm specializing in the conservation and restoration of historic and artistic stone, metal, wood, and terracotta-based architectural structures and elements, outdoor sculpture and monuments. We have served a varied clientele in the United States and Europe for more than twenty years. All work conducted is required to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and must conform to the Code of Ethics of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC). The key team members are Professional Associates of the American Institute for Conservation of Artistic and Historic Works and Aegis Restauro, LLC is the Supporting Member of The Association for Gravestone Studies.

The firm has two divisions.
The Architectural Conservation, Restoration and Historic Preservation Division, headed by Zbigniew Pietruszewski, provides the complete range of services for historic buildings, architectural ornamental elements and art, outdoor sculpture and monuments, including:

The Fine Art Conservation and Restoration Division, led by Joanna Pietruszewski, conserves a diverse collection of artistic and historic objects connected to or independent of work undertaken by the Architectural Division. Ms. Pietruszewski also oversees conservation research and project documentation.
