Joanna Pietruszewski is the co-founder and CEO of Aegis Restauro, LLC. She earned her Master’s degree in the Conservation and Restoration of Historic and Artistic Works, in 1986. Her further education included courses and workshops in the laser cleaning of historic materials from the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC) and from Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Joanna has over thirty five years of experience as conservator and has also been engaged in public outreach on behalf of the conservation field for many years. She is Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC). In 2008-2009 Joanna was elected Program Chair of the Conservators in Private Practice, a sub-specialty group of the AIC; Chair in 2009-2010, and Chair Emerita in 2010-2011. She performs conservation projects for museums, cultural institutions, government agencies, and private collectors.

Zbigniew Pietruszewski is the co-founder and President of Aegis Restauro, LLC. Zbigniew earned his Master’s degree in the Conservation and Restoration of Historic and Artistic Works, in 1985. His further education included courses and workshops in the treatment of sculpture and architectural structures from The Association for Preservation Technology, International Training Program; and laser cleaning of historic materials from the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC) and from Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. He has over 36 years of field experience in the treatment of historic buildings, outdoor sculpture and monuments, architectural art, and historic and artistic objects. He is Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works (AIC). As Head Conservator, Zbigniew directs and supervises teams of conservators and allied craftsmen on projects for the government agencies, museums, galleries, and private collectors.
